He worked for Caleb, and eventually they let him become a free man. Amos Fortune married 3 times. His first 2 wives died of an illness, and his 3rd wife lived a while after Amos died. Amos lived his life as a tanner. He gave a lot of his money to the church and the school right before he died. Amos died faithfully, in God's name.

Noah Webster

Noah Webster was the writer of the American Dictionary of the English Language in 1828. While he was still a boy, he was like any other ordinary boy back then. He lived on a farm, had a  small house, and went to church. Unlike most boys though, he LOVED to read. I mean, he could read our house off it's foundation if he wanted to! Noah also wrote the Blue- Backed Speller. He had two sisters & three brothers.

Hudson Taylor

Hudson Taylor was born in 1832 and died in 1905. Hudson Taylor was a missionary who went to China to teach Chinese people about Jesus and the BIBLE. He saw Some Chinese worship a image of Buddha- which was made of stone. Hudson Taylor wondered how he could get the Chinese to give their hearts to the one and only true God, Jesus Christ. Hudson Taylor formed a missionary group called China Inland Mission to help Chinese learn about God. One night in 1905, Hudson Taylor died. Hudson Taylor accomplished a job in China that changed the Chinese's hearts, and most of them turned their hearts to the one and only God, Jesus.
